The Licensing and Regulation Branch is responsible for the licensing or registration matters for residential care homes for the elderly, residential care homes for persons with disabilities, drug dependent persons treatment and rehabilitation centres, and child care centres, in accordance with the relevant legislation of Hong Kong, and to ensure that these residential care homes or centres comply with the legislative requirements with a view to providing an acceptable standard of services for the residents or service users.
